The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 sports a 16-megapixel rear camera which allows users to shoot videos in UHD (which is commonly known as 4K). To take advantage of this powerful piece of hardware one must first learn how how to adjust the default video resolution of the Camera app.

How to Adjust The Default Resolution of The Camera

The procedure is as follows:

Launch the Camera app and then tap on the cog icon to access the Camera Settings. Tap on Video size (rear) and then select the default video resolution:

UHD - Ultra high definition or 4K,

QHD - 2.5k,

FHD (60 fps) - Full HD at 60 frames per second,

FHD - Full HD at 30fps,

HD - High definition,

VGA - Standard definition.

NB: Videos recorded at a higher resolution are larger in size.
